Selah Marley hosts ‘A Primordial Place’ art installation in Brooklyn

May 1, 2019

Rohan Marley’s daughter Selah Marley is hosting a special art installation titled ‘A Primordial Place’ at CityPoint BKLYN in New York City! The exhibition takes place on Friday, May 3 and Saturday, May 4 from noon to 8pm each day. Here’s the description from the venue website:

If you’ve ever wondered what kind of art is produced by someone with the genes of both a nineties r&b superstar and the greatest reggae artist of all time, then wonder no longer because Selah Marley has announced her first art installation project BKLYN Studios in New York.

Selah Marley has quite the lineage running through her family tree. As you might have assumed from the last name, yes, Selah is related to the reggae legend Bob Marley. She calls Bob Marley her grandfather. And if that’s not impressive enough, Lauryn Hill, the mastermind behind The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, is her mother.

The show, called “A Primordial Place,” is a one-of-a-kind immersive experience which explores the collective conscience of Marley’s 19-year-old mind. The show explores how one can surround themselves with nature and greenery in a hard-rock concrete jungle like New York City.

“A Primordial Place” can be viewed at BKLYN Studios in New York City from May 3rd until May 4th.
