BOB MARLEY – "WAR" (Live) | EASY SKANKING IN BOSTON '78

In celebration of the 70th Earthstrong of Tuff Gong, the Marley family has opened up their personal vault to the fans and released a brand new, never-before-seen live concert video titled ‘Easy Skanking In Boston’. The show was held at Boston’s Music Hall during the 1978 Kaya Tour, and was filmed by a single cameraman whom Bob allowed to shoot from the front row. It’s some of Marley’s most energetic footage to date, and really gives a unique look into his live performances, making fans feel like they’re actually there watching the show from up close.

The video was released on February 17th, and is available as a CD, DVD/CD, Blu-Ray/CD, and digitally on iTunes and Google Play.

Ziggy Marley won his third solo GRAMMY award (sixth overall) when the 2013 live release Ziggy Marley In Concert won “Best Reggae Album” at the 56th Annual GRAMMY Awards this past Sunday (January 26, 2014).

The 14-track album, recorded on Marley’s 2012 world tour, got the nod over Sly and Robbie and the Jam Masters’ Reggae Connection; Sizzla’s The Messiah; One Love, One Life by Beres Hammond; and Snoop Lion’s Reincarnated.

Ziggy’s first solo GRAMMY came in 2007 for Love is my Religion. His second came three years later, when he won “Best Musical Album for Children” with Family Time. Marley also won three Best Reggae Album Grammys with the Melody Makers, a group that included his brother Stephen and sisters Sharon and Cedella.

Ziggy Marley In Concert contains songs from his work with the Melody Makers including “Justice” and “Tomorrow People”; and “True to Myself”, taken from his first solo album, Dragonfly.

Since the win, Ziggy Marley In Concert has found its way into the Top 10 Reggae albums on iTunes, currently sitting at #9 behind Bob Marley & The Wailers: Gold.
