BOB MARLEY – "WAR" (Live) | EASY SKANKING IN BOSTON '78

In celebration of the 70th Earthstrong of Tuff Gong, the Marley family has opened up their personal vault to the fans and released a brand new, never-before-seen live concert video titled ‘Easy Skanking In Boston’. The show was held at Boston’s Music Hall during the 1978 Kaya Tour, and was filmed by a single cameraman whom Bob allowed to shoot from the front row. GRAMMY Award-winning artist Damian ‘Jr. Gong’ Marley debuted his new single “Medication” yesterday, off his upcoming album, Stony Hill, set to release July 21. Listen HERE!

This 4/20 release wouldn’t be complete without a pause for the herbal cause, which comes in the form of the new single, a duet with bigger brother Stephen “Ragga” Marley

“Your leaves of green,
Your purples and blues,
Has cured little kids
And old women, too.
And I say to myself,
‘What a wonderful herb.’
And I say to myself,
‘What a wonderful herb.'”

The youngest son of Reggae legend Bob Marley, Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley garnered his own place in music history when he became the first ever Reggae artist to win a GRAMMY outside of the “Reggae” category, taking home an award for ‘Best Urban/Alternative Performance’ for his title single, “Welcome To Jamrock”. The acclaimed 2005 breakthrough disc Welcome To Jamrock, also won a GRAMMY for ‘Best Reggae Album’. Marley has been shaking up stages all over the world for the past few years, first in collaboration with Nas on their Distant Relatives project, and then when he went on to partner with Skrillex for their groundbreaking track “Make It Bun Dem,” which Rolling Stone called, “a monster mash up of dubstep and dancehall.”

Damian recently announced his 4th Annual Welcome to Jamrock Reggae Cruise is completely sold out! The ship sets sail on November 13th and will feature Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley, Stephen “Ragga” Marley, Sizzla, Jah Cure, Luciano, The Big Ship Crew (ft. Freddie McGregor, Stephen “Di Genius” Mcgregor and Chino McGregor), Bounty Killer, Tarrus Riley, Cocoa Tea, Busy Signal, Popcaan, Inner Circle, Richie Spice, Tanto Metro & Devonte, Pressure, Spice, and Iba Mahr. Also joining are Sound Systems including Stone Love, Renaissance, King Jammy’s, Mighty Crown, Tony Matterhorn, and Kingston 12 Hi Fi.
